We are already busy working on our next big giveaway. It will be our Attack of the 31 Nights of Halloween Giveaway. This is usually our biggest one of the year so make sure to mark it on your calendar. It runs October 1st - 31st. And there just might be a few Laughing Vixen Lounge giveaways here and there too. Lots of chances for you to win 8)

Stop by next week for a sneak peek at some of the new items that are coming to Laughing Vixen Lounge. I've been working on this for awhile and they should be here in early September. Lots and lots of new goodies. Very excited about this.

Fridays at the Laughing Vixen Lounge Blog are Fear Fridays where we review a different horror/scary/thriller/classic horror movie. Tonight our Fear Friday movie is keeping with our Birthday theme...

Fear Friday - Bloody Birthday

Tagline - The Nightmare Begins With The Kids Next Door
                Have a bloody good time!!
Mum won't like it!! But the kids will!!

Directed by Ed Hunt (Alien Warrior and The Brain) and release on April 28, 1981 by Rearguard Productions (Rated R). Three children born on the same night during an eclipse grow up to be evil little killers. Darn those eclipses!

This movie is low on the gore factor, and does show it's age, but is still an interesting watch. 3 creepy kids that have no problem getting rid of anyone who stands in their way or says no to them. It's traditional slasher fare but with young kids as the killers which makes it seem a bit wrong. But that wrong is what works 8)

If you haven't seen it, and are a fan of the genre, give this one a try. I found it on Netflix.

Take a look at the original trailer (Beware ~ it shows a lot of the death scenes)...

Some trivia about the movie...
1. Despite popular belief that the film was shelved for five years after being shot it has been confirmed that it was shot in early 1980 and released the following year.
2.  The house depicted in the films colorful German poster is the same house from the mini-series Salem's Lot.
3.  The films French title is Les Tueurs de l'éclipse, meaning "The Killers of the Eclipse" and its German release title was Kinder des Teufels, meaning "Children of the Devil."
